As you all may or may not know, I just got back from OTAKON, basically the only convention I go to at all because cons are expensive...
Anyway, since I'm too lazy to re-type another version of my adventure, I'll just copy-and-paste the version I already wrote on my DA.
So, prepare for referances that you may or may not get unless you're one of my watchers on DA...

So, here's my first serious journal entry in a while (don't expect more any time soon...)
I just recently got back from my favorite local (by local I mean five hours away) convention... OTAKON!!! I'm sure you've heard about it.

If you haven't heard about it... well, I doubt the info will be up for next year yet...
O.o
But you can probably check at
[link]So, on with my crazy story!
So, the first day we get to Baltimore, we check into the hotel, of course. Whilst my little siblings and co. took the bags and my mother went to go check in... I was left with the duty of watching the car.
First thing I did was climb over to the window and greet the other con-goers who were standing around the hotel entrance (it was a purty revolving door... <3 )
Then we went to stand in line for an hour to get our passes. Lucky we got in line when we did, because they stopped letting people get their passes that night soon after we found the end of the line.
Yeah... the line was boring, but I was clapping for the first half an hour... then the girl in front of me got annoyed, so then I was bored.
The next day we get to Otakon and have to wait in another line.

Oh joy! We didn't cosplay the first day... but we did see some pretty awesome cosplays while we were waiting in line.
Once in the con, we convinced our mom to let us wander around by ourselves, and went off looking for good cosplays (and also for IceMask, our Ino cosplayer and fellow fanfiction author, who we had planned to meet ahead of time).
We were wondering around taking pictures (and not giving hugs... hugs begin the second day)
When we saw... some Axis Powers Hetalia cosplayers!
It was a Russia and Lithuania!
We immediately made friends with them and they told us that they would be by the fountain later that day... so we managed to get over there in time, and what do you know? More cosplayers!
We got some great pictures and then we all migrated down to the artists alley...
We scoured the place for APH art (and buttons! Liet bought so many...)
We ended up getting really tired, so we all formed a circle near the exit, "We" meaning my little sister, her friend, Russia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Greece, and Poland. Poland left early.
So we all sat there and ate Scrabble Jr. Cheezits.... Well, actually, Estonia ate them all, because the moment she saw them she yelled "Oh my god Scrabble Cheezits! I can spell my country!"
Shortly before we had to leave for the night, I gave my first hugs of the convention to Russia, Lithuania, and Latvia.
The second day, there was no line to get in (thank god) and we did indeed cosplay. I was Hollow Ichigo and my little sister was Ichigo (from Bleach)
That day was filled with a combo of picture taking and hugging.
We managed to meet up with Liet and Russia again at the fountain, and then traveled with them for the day!
Our first stop was the Hetalia Photo-shoot!
So many pictures that I can't even explain them all.
My favorites were the manly-man Germany cosplayer (actually cosplayed by a man!) carrying a sleepy-looking Italy on his back, and... the seven or so Hungary cosplayers all hugging the one Austria. (I got a hug from Austria before he left, but we would see him later in the day...)
After the photo-shoot, we regrouped and formed our new-and-improved group, consisting of Me, my sister, my sister's annoying friend, Russia, Liet, East Prussia, Little Poland, Little Liet, and two Americas...
So we all walked up the stairs... and then got tired and went to go get stuff to eat.
While we were sitting in our circle eating fruit-cups and bagle-dogs, a cosplayer with a cane came up to the Prussia ad said "Gilbert? Gilbert, is that you?"
We all stared for a moment before it clicked....
It was FRITZ!
East Prussia immediately hugged him and we pulled him into our group for a few minutes.
After that, my mommy came around because we told her that we were going to go to the dealers room.
The moment my mommy walked up to the circle, Prussia realized something...
We had met her before at the local book store!
It was such a wonderful coincidence, but he recognized my mommy and said that she was the Tesla cosplayer that we were talking to at the bookstore!
It was wonderful, and it turned out that she lives close to us.
So, we got money from mother and went to the dealers room, where I bought a pack of Kuroshitsuji stickers to decorate my fanart folder, and a pair of FMA keychains to hang on my badge.
(Do you all remember my fanart folder? That thing I'm always talking about when I make up excuses for why I haven't uploaded in a while? Yes, that folder! It's translucent and is covered in anime stickers.
Also, I have two badges now, 2008 and 2009 and I hung them on my door to remind me of the good times and fun friends at past cons...)
So, after that (this is where it gets good!) we went outside the dealers room to the small lobby where all the room exit to and sat down in our circle near a pillar. Little Poland and Little Liet had to leave shortly after, so we were left with our newly found Greece and a roleplayer from our group's LJ community...
We were enjoying our funny conversations and our gay doujin (one was so gay it radiated sparkles... kind of like France) when we saw a Russia sleeping against a wall across the room. We were contemplating draping Lithuania's flag over him, but decided against it. The next time we glanced other towards him, he was surrounded by more APH cosplayers and apparently awake, so we merged groups and played a fun game of duck-duck-goose!
So, now we had a second Prussia, (who's shirt said "All your vital regions are belong to me") a France (with a shirt that had the chest-hair drawn on it and a rose at the bottom), two more Russia's, another Lithuania, Italia, and...
Austria and Hungary!
Before we knew it, Prussia was molesting Austria, and eventually Italy, the two Russia's, Liet, and Hungary joined in on the dog pile.
O.o
Austria was abused so badly. XD
We got a video of it, too.
After that fiasco, our first Liet and Russia and Prussia had to leave to go get changed into different cosplays.
Another Russia left, and then Greece followed suit, leaving Liet, Russia, Prussia, Hungary, Austria, and Italy...
But little did we know that The Anonymous was there as well... actually, we all knew, but he was being very quiet.
Italia had to leave then, curl and all, but then some unlikely people showed it...
Baby Hungary, Little Prussia, and Naive Austria!!
We all photo-ed and conversed, but the Austria and Hungary had to go...
So Prussia made it a point to raep younger Austria while the otehrs weren't there...
The youngers left after a while, so we were left with Russia, Liet, Anonymous, Prussia, and France (who was being surprisingly quiet, mind you!), plus me and my sis. We did find a China, and she gladly sat with us for a while before she had to leave. I also got my picture taken with some of the World of Warcraft cosplayers.
Russia and Liet had to leave, which left us with Prussia, France and Anonymous. We wandered around for a little while before getting some hotdogs and retreating to the fourth floor of the convention center, where we ran into some Death Note cosplayers playing duck-duck-goose... it was the third game we ran into that convention!
Also, we met another Anonymous.
We met up there with my mom and then my sister's friend got lost somewhere in the Death Note photo-shoot.
Prussia, France, Anony, my sister, and myself went across the skywalk to sit at the fountain and yell 'buttscratchaaaaah' at the passer-by to see if we could get a response.
While sitting on the stairs between Prussia and a wall, I spotted some nice cosplays and made a point to hug the best ones, including the Code Geass cosplays and any other cosplays I recognized.
I had claimed earlier in the con that "If I see anybody cosplaying as one of the bad guys from the Warcraft Lore, I will faint".
I never expected it, but...
I saw an Illidan cosplay waled by and practically screamed.
I yelled "Ohmigawd" several times and ran over to hug him.
The cosplay was so good, but I was too busy fangirling to get a picture of him....
And I knew some of my guildies were dying to see WoW cosplayers.
Later, we went to the Rave, but I found it slightly boring.
The last day was uneventful, for the most part, but we did meet some more APH cosplayers on the fourth floor, and hung out with them until we had to go.
My trip to Otakon this year was one I'll never forget, because I made so many good friends, whom I do indeed plan to keep in touch with.

There are probably some fun times I left out of my nice long rant... but I can't wait for next year!
----
A few side notes that aren't relative to this year's Otakon...:
I found a book about Poland, so i might cosplay Hetalia next year instead of what we had "planned", which was Code Geass...
We don't yet have the outfits, so it's fine to change our minds.
I really like the military uniforms, anyways, and I don't like being left out of the Hetalia photo-shoots when all my new friends get to be in them...
I also like the fact that we use our flags as capes and we really walk around like that!
But I don't know who to go as...
If anybody has any suggestions, please tell me~~~!! <3
So, that was a great long wall of text, but I just loved Otakon this year. <3 I hope you guys enjoy reading about it. O.o I'm pretty sure that going is more fun than reading, though...
If you live in the tri-state area, you must go to Otakon!!!!
Well, that's all folks! I'll talk to you when I come up with a better story than this! (It'll never happen... >.> )
- - - - - - - - - -
Now, since you all know about my great big adventure to Otakon (well, if you didn't give up after the first sentence...) I'll get right to the point!
Most of my multi-chapter fics have indeed been discontinued... (Yeah, even
Meow?... I know... horrible right? But I lost all my files because my computer had to get repaired...)
But, I did recently write three new Code Geass fics, so if you haven't read them, my FF.net link is in my last journal. Find iiiiiiiiit. O.o
I haven't updated my DA recently, because when the computer went down, it lost the printer software, so I need to find the disc before can scan anything... (I need an excuse because
bitches don't know 'bout my folder...)
Also, I'm big on the
World of Warcraft Fandom.
Yeah, you heard me.
The FANDOM.
As in...
World of Yaoicraft...
Be afraid... O.o
Well, that's all I really have to say for now, so if anybody was in that APH group with me at Otakon and wants to talk to me... well, that's what the cute little comment button is for. X3
